Christ Classical Academy students had a marvelous showing at the Leon County Regional FJCL Forum.

CCA finished third place overall in its division, with its highest sweepstakes score ever.

The Level 2 and Advanced Certamen teams both came in 4th place overall, and the Greek Agon team came in second place.

Students also performed very well in their academic tests.

Ann Osterhaus and Lucas Colson won 3rd and 5th places respectively in the History of the Roman Empire, while Aidan Carrasquilla won 5thplace in History of the Roman Empire Advanced. Harrison Bridges took 5th place in Advanced Roman Geography, while Tiffanee Moore came in 2nd place in Greek Literature.

Our students also won points in artistic and athletic competitions. Hope Roorda and Harrison Bridges won third and first places in Impromptu art, respectively. In the Olympica events, CCA came in 4th overall, with Clark Mitchel, Sidnee Moore, and Anne Mason Roberts winning ribbons in the mens 100 meter dash, women’s 100 meter dash, and Friscus competitions respectively. Paige Campbell, Jackson Lee, Jayden Parker, and Aidan Carrasquilla came in 1st place in their relay competition.

Our students demonstrated comradere, civility, and cheerfulness throughout the competition, and I am very proud of them.

Special thanks to Mrs. Megan Soper who served as a coach and chaperone, to Mrs. Roorda who hosted the hospitality room, and to the many mothers who provided breakfast and other treats for the hospitality room. Many teachers expressed praise and gratitude for this wonderful provision.

Gratias tibi ago,

Mr. Kauffman
