The educational goal at Christ Classical Academy with older students, is to develop critical thinking skills together with confidence in verbal and written methods of communication. To this end, CCA emphasizes language skills (reading, grammar, and spelling), handwriting, history, Bible, mathematics, and Latin in its Grammar school and will supplement these important subjects with science, music, art, drama, and physical education.

The following Curriculum map will guide our students as they enter High School as we develop the initial graduating class of 2010. We have developed this map based on the 24 credits needed by the State of Florida for High School students for the college preparatory track.

Educating for Life
at Christ Classical Academy High School

he hope of every Christian parent is to establish a foundation for abiding faith in their children. As parents and educators, the founders of Christ Classical Academy had this in mind as they envisioned Tallahassee’s first Christian classical school. With the opening of Academy's doors in 2004 this hope began to be realized.

Far from being a place where sequestered students remain bent over old, musty books by the light of candles, a classical classroom is a vibrant, life-affirming environment that fosters dialogue and an integration of faith in learning. A milestone will be reached this fall as the class of 2010 begins their 10th grade year, bringing the interdenominational Academy that much closer to becoming a full K-12 program. This pioneering work is located at Mahan Drive and Blair Stone Road in the First Church of the Nazarene, while plans are quickly progressing to move to its permanent home at Meridian and Bannerman Roads.

Christ Classical Academy offers the highest caliber education, encouraging academic performance beyond students’ supposed capabilities. This is realized by low student-teacher ratio and the enthusiasm of gifted teachers. The high school faculty’s merits are seen in their seven Masters of Science, Arts or Divinity degrees and several PhD’s or doctoral candidates. The Academy is committed to the success of each student at a competitive cost.

As a parent, you owe it to your student to investigate a school where the optimal learning environment has been developed to grow a strong, integrated and world-changing faith in students who will shape our future.
