Bill Mattox is the new head of school at Christ Classical Academy, a role that draws upon his experience as a writer, teacher, mentor, and coach. Over the course of his 25-year career, Mr. Mattox has worked as a legislative aide in the U.S. Congress, led writing workshops at Duke, Vanderbilt, Wheaton, and other major universities, spoken at international conferences in Geneva, Prague, and Vatican City, mentored students through the World Journalism Institute, and written numerous articles for The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, USA TODAY, and other national publications. A five-time winner of the Amy Foundation's annual writing awards, Mr. Mattox received the Henry W. Grady Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Georgia School of Journalism in 1997. He also was one of six people honored in 2002 as a “Double-Goal Coach of the Year” by the Positive Coaching Alliance at Stanford University for his work promoting character development in youth sports. Mr. Mattox and his wife, Jill, have been married 22 years and have four children. |

Mr. John Graham is Principal at CCA. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Alabama. He began his career as a process engineer in the chemical industry, moved into technology, became a consultant in the insurance industry and concluded his corporate career as Director of Program Management for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida. Since 2003 he has realized his lifelong dream of teaching as founder of the local mentoring firm, Rite Klik. Mr. Graham teaches science to the 7th and 8th grades and he will soon be fully certified in high school mathematics and science. He and his wife, Jamie, are members of Agape Life Fellowship. |

Mrs. Cunningham is a founding teacher at Christ Classical, having joined the staff/faculty in 2004. She has taught kindergarten, first grade and will now be serving as Director of Marketing and Admissions for the Academy. Mrs. Cunningham earned her B. S. in Communications from Florida State University in 1990 and has worked for various companies in their marketing division. She and her husband Brett have been married eleven years and have three children, two of whom attend the Academy. The Cunningham family attends Four Oaks Community Church. |

Mrs. Suzanne Wooden is taking a break after teaching 7th grade last year. Mrs. Wooden will be helping co-ordinate our faculty this year. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management from Cornell University. Mrs. Wooden is well-known in town as a gifted instructor of homeschool cooperative Latin and English classes. She is an avid reader and student of church history. She and her husband, Allan, have two grown sons. |
